Today I received the following email from my website host
Your Business Web Hosting for retiredandangry.co.uk has exceeded its resource usage limits. This could slow the performance of your websites and cause 503 (Service Unavailable) errors.
We strongly recommend upgrading your plan or optimizing your website to ensure the best experience for your visitors.
For more information about your hosting plan’s resource usage, visit the control panel.
I have confirmed that it is genuine, so I can only assume that it’s an attempt to ‘persuade’ me to Upgrade my package. However, if as it says, the performance of my site is degraded, I can only apologise and hope that it will recover after 24 hours. It should do.
