The tweet is a clear expression of his and Police Reforms real agenda – not reform but destruction. It is in many respects better to have the real agenda out in the open rather than it being raised by people and then brushed aside as though they are just scaremongering.

    It’s Pestilence, not Conquest.
I understand this tweet has offended a lot of people and subsequently be deleted but I am still searching to fully understand the outrage.

    • Conquest? Pestilence? It depends which version you read, Conquest is apparently more modern. But at the end of the day they can bring either on, they’ve upset a few, resistance may well be even greater than it was

    • I’m pissed because it shows the reforms to my profession are not designed to serve the public. There are to turn the police into an outsourced, unaccountable business that dances to the tune the tune of the government. His tweet demonstates it is a personal mission for him, his motovation is not based on what the public wants and also he should not have a say over police reform as he is not from a policing or CJS bckground. He works for a thinktank that has vested interest in G4$ ect, G4$ will benifit from private contracts that the reoforms encourage, G4$ is a donor to Policy Exchange hense the ‘vested interest’. The police is a public body, not a private business.

That is why I am outraged.

  4. Very well written as always x thank you for sharing. Gibbs tweet is the most disgusting show of the egotistical minds that are behind this reform.
